Goal or Problem

If you work with needle trees or conifers in your garden, you end up sooner or later having resin stains on your palms, hands and possibly elsewhere. It is not possible to clean them with soap. They normally vanish away after several days.

Idea

Use appliances for cleaning hands from paint stains. You can buy these in DYI shops. They exist in two forms: cloth or paste, and contain solvent that dissolves remainders of the paint. Paste contains also small grains, which help to brush the stains away. Paints contain resinic substances (film forming component) with similar qualities to resin coming from trees. Therefore, appliances for removing paint stains work well also on stains from tree resin.

Limitations and Side Effects

If your skin is allergic to chemicals, which exist in paints, you may get similar allergic reaction when applying the cloth or paste for removal of paint remainders.
