Acid reflux, also known as heartburn or burning stomach, is an uncomfortable burning sensation in chest and throat. It can be relieved instantly using acupressure, thus without pills and other remedies. All you need to do is stimulate the acupressure point on your left hand that influences stomach. The acupressure point is located between the metacarpal bones of the index finger and middle finger, approximately in the middle of the bones (see the picture). To find the point:
- Put the index finger of your right hand on the back of the palm and put the thumb of your right hand on the left hand palm.
- With both fingers of your right hand, find the middle of the metacarpal bone of your index finger on your left hand.
- Shift both fingers slightly to that they are between the metacarpal bones of index finger and middle finger.
- Find a point that is slightly more painful. This is the point you are looking for.
Press four times. The acid reflux should reduce within seconds. Depending on the conditions, the reflux might come back after some time. You can stimulate the same acupressure point again.
Note that the stimulation of the acupressure point treats the symptoms and not the cause of acid reflux. There are different causes of acid reflux. In a better case it is caused by what you have put into the stomach: eating too much, eating unhealthy, eating too late, eating combinations which are difficult to digest, smoking, drinking too much alcohol etc. The proper cure is to improve the eating and drinking habits. In a worse case, especially when it is reoccurring, it is a symptom of certain medical condition, for example, diabetes, asthma or stomach infected by Helicobacter pylori. Find medical assistance to treat your condition.

acid reflux home remedies
acid reflux is a common problem among obese people because it is closely associated with asthma so will coexist frequently. GERD may be caused by the lower end of the gullet being weak, and/or the stomach being overfull of food plus acid gastric juice pumping the unwanted juice back to the stomach.
