Some instructions on the packaging of instant drinks are really simple:
- Put 2 or 3 teaspoons of the instant drink powder into a cup with cold or hot milk.
- Stir well.
The problem is that a part of the powder usually clots.
Some instructions are more sophisticated:
- Put 2 or 3 teaspoons of the instant drink powder into a cup.
- Mix to a smooth paste with a little water.
- Pour in hot or cold milk.
- Stir well.
The powder clots less than when using the previous method. However, the powder on the bottom sometimes does not mix well with the water. It gets sticky and remains on the bottom of the cup.
Here is a slight variation of the above instructions that prevents both problems:
- Put 2 or 3 teaspoons of water into a cup.
- Add 2 or 3 teaspoons of instant drink powder into a cup.
- Mix to a smooth paste.
- Pour in hot or cold milk.
- Stir well.
